Family recipes are always the best kind. They are the ones, you know, passed down generation to generation. Maybe they get little tweaks here and there, but one thing is for sure…they are always delicious.
I love watching the Pioneer Woman cooking for her family. For her, family is everything. She always talks about the family’s Edna Mae’s recipes and how special they are. So the other day while looking for a vegetable/side dish, I decided to make one of Aunt Edna Mae’s. I know I could not be in the wrong place. I mean its a family recipe AND it has cheese!!!

I made it exact, except for the jalapeño slices at the end. I left those out entirely.
I forgot to take a picture of it after it came out of the over but image this second image golden browned. It was a really good dish. I would definitely make it again!
