  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound pork
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/8 cup parmesan cheese (I used more)
  • 1 eggs
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley

  1. Cut mozzarella cheese into 1/2 inch cubes cubes.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the pork, ground beef, garlic powder, salt, pepper, bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, egg, milk, and parsley.
  3. Roll balls with the meat mixture. Squish mozzarella cube into the center and pull the edges of the meat ball around it until it’s a new ball again.

The original recipe calls for you to cook meatballs with jarred sauce in the slow cooker for two hours. Lucky for me, my husband always makes homemade sauce. So I just dropped the meatballs in the sauce to cook. You can also cook the meatballs in the oven and add your favorite sauce later on.
